After meeting Laura, the famous wedding planner behind Engaging Affairs, at Blogging Bootcamp DC she was kind enough to write about me on her blog, Bridal Bubbly.

I had followed Laura’s blog a long time because if your planning a wedding in DC, most likely, you have heard of her.

You can also see a goofy picture of me twittering at Blogging Bootcamp over at the Observatory Blog. I will admit it, I tweet a lot over @kellyprizel

And did I mention….Film Noir was at NYC Pride 09???

That’s me in the middle with Mallory from Blue Canary Events on my left and Katie Fischer Design on my right. They were kind enough to come help the So You’re EnGAYged booth. I got to talk to tons of couples planning their wedding- that is, when I wasn’t trying to keep all our books and cards from flying away. It was super breezy(which did help with the heat though).

After doing a lot of weddings, I have noticed something. Everyone wants a picture of their dress but they always have the dress hanging on the ugliest, plastic hanger from the dress shop. It’s so hard to see this knock ‘em dead dress paired with a falling apart hanger. So I went out and bought a nice wooden hanger just for the dress pictures!

Guess who did these flowers? THE BRIDE! Ying arranged her own white wedding bouquet flowers and all the bridesmaids too.

Erica fromĀ http://www.silverimmersion.net/ did Ying’s hair. She had a japanese digital perm done so her hair would be fuller and curl well for the bun. Erica is one of the fastest and best hair stylist I have worked with. I can’t tell you how many times I’m bitting my nails because the hair stylist is chatting away and taking double the time the timeline allotted for. Even a “Well…we are 20 minutes behind” doesn’t seem to work. But Erica whipped out this lovely style right on time.

Popping that last button into place.

Bubbles + Cool Couple = Fun

More pictures soon!

Gritty please! That’s what they wanted so off to the Hostess Cupcake abandoned factory for us. We then hit up some alley ways and even took a detour to a cafe dedicated to chocolate. Run, do not walk, to ACKCC and get yourself a milkshake. So after some sweets, we got even more pictures along 14th street and enjoyed the lovely day. I did have to bust out some jokes and even a little shaking to get Megan to crack a smile- she was so nervous! My phrase of choice is “Shake it out” and then proceed to make a fool out of myself by looking like a Great Dane shaking off from a bath. But it was worth it! They are moving very very soon to the West Coast but I get to travel up to Massachusetts and capture them getting legally married….again. They are one of the rare legal California couples who are still “legally” married. A limited edition.
