After doing my engagement preparation questionnaire and talking about exactly what kind of shoot they wanted, we nailed down a few things that felt perfect for them. Like the bright color of Izzy soda or peonies. And when I drove up to their house, I was met with everything we had talked about. It was like an inspiration board come to life! And their home was my dream home come to life. I kid you not. A wrap around porch? Check. Hammock. Check. A river running behind the house so it felt like a high quality spa. Check. Moss and ferns (be still my heart, be still). Check.

We were tip toeing around, trying not to disturb the other guests but get some great photos too.

The dining room has this killer table with candles and flowers and I just wanted to take it home! The room just was the definition and calm with cool, white colors and yummy tea to sip on.

Out side we went again to finnish the day!

Ending the day on a kiss sounds like a good plan :) Next Friday Jess and Rita will be getting married in Brooklyn. So lucky me gets to go shoot them again!

But their friends treated them to a few nights at the Mayflower Inn in Connecticut and they decided that was where they would have their civil ceremony. I’m now offering packages designed just for LGBT couples going up to Connecticut or any other New England state to get legally married. I shoot your ceremony and then we go and take couples pictures all over, having a blast and perhaps some champagne like Jess and Rita!

After the ‘Waiiiit, we’re married!!’ moment, we hugged, drank champagne and then proceeded to go have fun!

There is more! I promise. After golf we went to the spa and got to take a few quick snaps…I’ll share those this week!
